A Consequence of Sound divulgou sua classificação dos 99 melhores filmes da década; o primeiro lugar é ocupado por Mad Max: Estrada da Fúria, lançado em 2015 e dirigido por George Miller.

Alguns trabalhos premiados não estão na lista, como Green Book, Pantera Negra, A Forma da Água, Spotlight, Birdman. No entanto, o site afirmou que a divulgação é apenas uma versão reduzida de um catálogo “muito mais longo e cheio de filmes excepcionais”.
