Com trio do Rage Against the Machine, Prophets Of Rage faz estreia ao vivo nos EUA

Um dos mais novos supergrupos da música mundial, o recém-formado Prophets Of Rage foi anunciado oficialmente na tarde da última terça, 31, e, no mesmo dia, o sexteto já fez o primeiro show da carreira. A banda tocou no clube noturno Whiskey a Go-Go, em Los Angeles (nos Estados Unidos), e apresentou duas faixa inéditas.

Com a base instrumental – o equivalente a três quartos do Rage Against the Machine, com exceção única do vocalista da banda dos anos 1990, Zack de la Rocha –, o Prophets of Rage é formado pelo guitarrista Tom Morello, o baixista Tim Commerford e o baterista Brad Wilk e ainda conta com dois membros do Public Enemy, o rapper Chuck D e o DJ Lord. Outro rapper renomado, B-Real, do Cypress Hill, completa o sexteto.

O setlist do show de estreia do Prophets Of Rage teve 14 faixas no total (incluindo um medley) e foi formado por músicas dos três grupos de origem dos integrantes, além de duas canções inéditas. Uma delas já havia sido revelada por Morello e se chama “The Party's Over” e a outra ainda não teve título divulgado, mas há um refrão com a frase “Shut them down” (possível nome da música).
