U2 anuncia relançamento do clássico The Joshua Tree

Para marcar as três décadas do lançamento de The Joshua Tree, o U2 anunciou uma reedição especial do disco para o dia 2 de junho.

O relançamento contará com demos, B-sides, outtakes de estúdio, e uma gravação ao vivo do show que o grupo fez em 1987 no Madison Square Garden. O U2 ainda contratou diversos produtores para contribuírem em novos remixes das faixas do álbum, incluindo Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno, Flood, Steve Lillywhite, Jacknife lee e St. Francis Hotel.

A edição comemorativa de 30 anos do The Joshua Tree estará disponível em diversos formatos, como um box deluxe e um com dois discos. A edição super deluxe poderá ser adquirida em CD e vinil. Todas as versões estarão disponíveis digitalmente.

As cópias físicas do relançamento contarão com um livreto de 84 páginas que terá fotos inéditas, clicadas pelo guitarrista the Edge, durante uma sessão da banda no deserto do Mojave, em 1986.

O U2 embarcará, no segundo semestre do ano, em uma turnê mundial, na qual eles tocarão a íntegra do The Joshua Tree.
